FREE! Fort Worth Jazz Series Featuring The Pamela York Quartet ~ Thursday, June 19

Bookmark and Share

All Jazzed Up and Someplace to Go
Take a musical journey from the 20th century roots of Jazz to the diverse sounds of the present with Fort Worth Library’s annual Third Thursday Jazz Series. Featuring an outstanding list of nationally and locally known talent, the monthly lineup offers everything from swing jazz to the blues.  All concerts are FREE and open to the public and run now through September.

June’s Third Thursday Jazz Series Features the Pamela York Quartet | Thursday, June 19 ~ 6:30PM
Pianist Pamela York and her quartet explore the jazz possibilities of timeless, traditional spiritual music at the June 19th series performance.  The quartet will feature saxophonist Shelley Carrol.

Sheldon Nunn of  JazzReview.com describes Pamela York as “…the ultimate pianist. Her performance set a precedent for what was to become one of the finest displays of pure jazz…Pamela has a subtle style about her, yet she is able to draw her audiences in with each melodic note. Her touch on the keys is light and effortless, yet she is able to convey her message with a voice and style that is uniquely hers. While playing tunes made famous by some of the legendary masters, Pamela York makes her own statement without being a pretender.”

Insider Sale Tips

1.)  You’ll want to arrive early on Saturday (June 21 at 8:00am) to get the best selection. There will likely be a line outside the sale door.

2.)  Buy some Tru Luxe Jeans.  These normally start at $98 retail — finding these for $10 to $12 is an amazing deal!  At this price, you can even buy 2 of the same pair and have one hemmed into crops or shorts for a summer length — or just roll them up like the picture above!

3.)  At 3 for $30, everything is a bargain, and it will be hard to choose.  That said, be sure to also look for pants with a Slim-sation tag these are our new favorite dress casual pants.  They have a nice cut and a little inside tummy smoothing panel that make you look a size smaller (yes, please!).

4.)  P.S. Save the date for the next Ladies Designer Brand Warehouse sale — July 31-August 2.  It’s going to be HUGE!

I hope you are able to make it over to the sale to grab some great bargains!  Here’s the information you’ll need, in a nutshell…
