FREE Outdoor Family Movie Series at Fort Worth Sundance Square Plaza — Starts Wednesday

Sundance Square Plaza Wednesday movies

The annual Sundance Square FREE outdoor movie series, Movie Nights at Sundance Square Plaza, kicks off next Wednesday with the movie 101 DalmatiansEach Wednesday evening through August 12, the lovely new Sundance Square Plaza will convert to an outdoor movie theater and will feature classic box-office family hits on a giant outdoor screen.  Movies will start at dusk, around 8:45/9:00 PM.

Weekly Movie Night Schedule:

  • June 10:  101 Dalmatians
  • June 17:  Dolphin Tale
  • June 24:  The Lego Movie  Come early! Legoland Discovery Center will be in attendance from 5-9PM — meet a Master Builder and see a great Lego display.
  • July 1:  Muppets: Most Wanted
  • July 8: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
  • July 15:  Despicable Me 2
  • July 22:  Frozen
  • July 29:  The Little Rascals
  • August 5:  Tangled
  • August 12:  Toy Story

Insider tips:  Bring your own lawn chairs or blanket to be sure you have a comfy spot to sit.  “To-go” food items from the Sundance Square restaurants may be brought to the plaza, but Sundance Square kindly requests that you do not bring other outside food, drinks or coolers.  Please also leave your pets in the comfort and safety of your home.

When:  Movies begin every Wednesday through August 12 around dusk (8:45 to 9:00pm).  Come early to get the best spot or grab a bit to eat at one of the nearby restaurants.

Downtown Fort Worth Sundance Square’s 2012 FREE outdoor movie series, Stars under the Stars, kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, June 7, with the movie Cars. Each Thursday evening in June, the Gateway Parking Lot (bordered by 4th St., Houston, 5th St., and Throckmorton) will convert to an outdoor movie theatre and will feature classic box-office hits on a giant 40′ x 20′ Airscreen. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Or if you like, folding chairs will also be available for a $2 rental fee. Gates open at 7:30pm with the show starting at dusk (around 9pm).
