See the skies light up over Lake Grapevine every Friday at the Summer Blast Fireworks Show starting at 9:30 p.m. Beginning Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, this weekly show can be viewed on the rooftop of the parking garage at Gaylord Texan Resort, as well as at parks around Lake Grapevine. ::  FREE Centennial Celebration Boat Parade on Lake Worth
    Saturday, June 21, 2014      

Whether you’re a participant or a spectator, celebrate the 100th birthday of Lake Worth on Saturday at the Centennial Boat Parade! At 11:00am, Mayor Betsy Price will lead the 11-mile parade route of over 100 participating water craft including power boaters, sail boaters, standup paddleboarders, kayakers and canoers.   Lake Worth filled to capacity on Aug. 10, 1914, becoming the largest municipal park in the world. 100 years later, Lake Worth is a sparkling jewel surround by green parkland.

Kimbell Art Museum FREE family festival event

Enjoy an afternoon of free family fun for all ages at the Kimbell! Saturday’s festival activities will center around the theme Matsuri: A Samurai Celebration and will feature an exciting lineup of musical performances including singer-songwriter Sarah Jaffe, indie rock band Air Review, and the Taiko Drummers.  There will be demonstrations, art activities, food trucks, and as a bonus, admission to the Samurai exhibit is free during the event!

The Modern Art Museum ~ Fly Fishing Program

Sunday Funday is a day of family friendly relaxation and fun in the sun at Panther Island Pavilion. Tubes and brand new pedal boats will be available for rent along with kayaks, stand up paddle boards and canoes.  Stand up paddle board classes will be offered every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. — classes are very beginner friendly as long as you’re not afraid to get a little wet.
