City of Fort Worth Rain Barrel Promotion ~ It’s Back!

Bookmark and Share

Rain Barrel Promotion City of Fort Worth

In case you missed it the first time around ~ The City of Fort Worth is again partnering with Rain Water Solutions to offer 50-gallon, rain barrels for just $58 in November.  We double checked the average prices of similar rain barrels and found this to be a great deal (other versions start at about $100 and go up from there).

New to rain barrel water harvesting?
It’s a pretty simple concept. Water is conserved by capturing rainwater from your house rooftop (your home’s gutter downspout connects to the rain barrel) ~ the harvested water can be used for gardening, lawn irrigation and foundation protection.  It is important to note that rain barrel harvesting is not as much about saving on your water bill as it is about wisely saving and using our precious water resources.  Learn more about rain barrel usage and conservation, here.

Good news, while this is a City of Fort Worth initiative, the rain barrel sale is open to all.

Here’s how to take advantage of the city’s promotion:

  • Order and pre-pay for your rain barrels through the Rain Water Solutions website before November 2. Print the confirmation email you receive with the order number and bring it to the pick up event.
  • Pick up your rain barrel November 10, between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at  301 Northeast 6th Street, LaGrave Field Parking Lot (Fort Worth Cats baseball stadium). Get more details here.
  • Learn about the features of the Ivy 50-gallon rain barrel here.

Thanks Fort Worth for your efforts to save our water supply!
