FREE Leatherworking Craft Workshop at the Amon Carter Museum ~ Saturday, May 28

The Amon Carter Museum is offering a FREE hands-on craft session you don’t want to miss! Be inspired by the art of Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell during an interactive tour followed by a demonstration with local leatherworking expert Scott Horn from Oil and Cotton. Enjoy refreshments as you learn more about the art of leatherworking and create your own set of leather coasters.

Please note that reservations are required — Call 817.989.5030 or email visitors@cartermuseum.org to register.

cultural destinations this Saturday, September 27!
Fort Worth’s cultural side will shine during its annual Day in the District open-house event which takes place this Saturday. Nine cultural district destinations will offer FREE admission AND FREE family friendly entertainment, performances, activities, and other special events throughout the day.

Enjoy FREE transportation to participating cultural district locations, tooThe T will provide complimentary transportation throughout the cultural district from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., making it easy to enjoy a slice of every venue during this all day event.

Free destinations include:

  1. Amon Carter Museum
  2. Kimbell Art Museum
  3. Fort Worth Botanic Garden (Admission to Japanese Gardens is an extra fee.)
  4. Fort Worth Museum of Science and History (Omni Theater, Noble Planetarium, and special exhibitions are an additional charge.)
  5. National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame
  6. Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
  7. Log Cabin Village
  8. Fort Worth Community Arts Center
  9. Cattle Raisers Museum

The Amon Carter Museum is offering a FREE hands-on craft session that sounds like lots of fun ~  Thursday, November 14, from 6–8 p.m., join Molly Smith, paper crafter and author of The New Paper Quilling, as she demonstrates the art of paper quilling. Be inspired while discussing artworks on view in the galleries, and then create an autumn-themed bookmark in a crafting session. No reservations required.

Be sure and take note of this offer if you are a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch cardholder.

Perot Museum Dallas FREE tickets

Bank of America & Merrill Lynch bank cardholders can get  FREE admission to the NEW Perot Museum in Dallas as well as the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month (that would be this weekend ~ August  3 & 4).  To participate, you will need to show a photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card when you get your tickets.

Savings tip:  The offer is good for 1 ticket per bank cardholder.  Therefore, if both you and your spouse (or friend) each carry a card, you can get 2 tickets if you each present your cards separately.
