Dickens of a Holiday Christmas Family Fun Event

Come join in the fun for the 3rd annual Dickens of a Holiday Festival and an afternoon of FREE programs for all ages with a Victorian theme. Kids can have their photos taken with a LIVE reindeer, ride in a carriage, enjoy, face-painting, games, holiday music, and more. This year’s event features presentations by Andrea Warren, author of the book, Charles Dickens and the Street Children of London, music by the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir, the Brass Works Quartet and the Dulcimer Players.  It’s all FREE and open to the public.

Buttermilk Junction Old Time String Band
Saturday, December 15, 2012

Celebrate the holidays Texas Pioneer Village style and enjoy the delightful sounds of Buttermilk Junction, an Old-Time & Anglo-Celtic band. You’ll feel like you’ve walked back in time as you listen to historical tunes and songs from 1800s era frontier Texas. You can even have your photo taken with St. Nick ($5 fee for photo and folder). Weekends through December 23, 2012

Visit Santa at Sundance Square. The jolly old elf will be waiting to hear Christmas wishes at his home near the towering Sundance Square Christmas tree, adorned with thousands of lights, colorful balls and sparkling snowflakes. Kids can get their picture taken with Santa too!

:: Second Annual Arlington Christkindl Christmas Market
Now through December 15, 2012

The Arlington Christkindl (Kris-kin-dill) Market is an enchanting family market in the tradition of those held throughout Germany during the Holiday season. It is a charming festival with twinkling lights and the holiday sounds and aromas of Christmas. The event celebrates the German Christmas heritage with authentic German cuisine, beverages, entertainment, arts, crafts and holiday gifts.

The annual event, held on Main Street in Historic Downtown Grapevine, features Santa, jolly Christmas characters, complimentary hay rides, decorations adorning the mile-long stretch of Main Street, and much more!

Bass Pro Shops is hosting fun daily events for kids at their Santa’s Wonderland. The festive events include FREE games and activities, FREE crafts and a FREE photo with Santa. Activities vary by day.
