Dickens of a Holiday Christmas Family Fun Event

Come join in the fun for the 3rd annual Dickens of a Holiday Festival and an afternoon of FREE programs for all ages with a Victorian theme. Kids can have their photos taken with a LIVE reindeer, ride in a carriage, enjoy, face-painting, games, holiday music, and more. This year’s event features presentations by Andrea Warren, author of the book, Charles Dickens and the Street Children of London, music by the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir, the Brass Works Quartet and the Dulcimer Players.  It’s all FREE and open to the public.

Celebrate the holidays Texas Pioneer Village style and enjoy the delightful sounds of Buttermilk Junction, an Old-Time & Anglo-Celtic band. You’ll feel like you’ve walked back in time as you listen to historical tunes and songs from 1800s era frontier Texas. You can even have your photo taken with St. Nick ($5 fee for photo and folder). The Arlington Christkindl (Kris-kin-dill) Market is an enchanting family market in the tradition of those held throughout Germany during the Holiday season. It is a charming festival with twinkling lights and the holiday sounds and aromas of Christmas. The event celebrates the German Christmas heritage with authentic German cuisine, beverages, entertainment, arts, crafts and holiday gifts.

:: FREE! 52nd Anniversary ~ Littlest Wiseman Christmas Pageant
Friday to Sunday, December 7-9, 2012

The Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts performs The Littlest Wiseman, a pageant of the Nativity and presented as a Christmas gift to the community by the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir and through a grant from the Walsh Foundation. This gift to Fort Worth has been in production for over 50 years and is an annual tradition for many families. Tickets are FREE, but it is recommended that you make reservations in advance.

NorthWood Christmas Festival

This weekend, NorthWood Church in Keller is hosting a fun community Christmas Festival for the entire family. The highlight of the festival will be the Story of Christmas hayride that will take you through 13 living scenes and panoramas, including a live nativity! Each night will also feature food trucks, bounce houses, a huge petting zoo, live music, games and so much more! There will also be other special events happening on various nights ~ fireworks, snow tubing, and a visit by KLTY 94.9 radio station.

North Richland Hills Baptist Christmas on the Boulevard

North Richland Hills Baptist church will be presenting Christmas on the Boulevard this weekend. It will feature a ten-scene live nativity,
full choir with orchestra, family activities, hot chili, hot chowder, and hot chocolate for all! There will also be free camel rides Friday from 4 – 6PM and Saturday from 3 – 6PM.

:: FREE 10th Annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa ~ Grapevine
Saturday, December 1, 2012

Enjoy a fun breakfast with Santa in Grapevine at the Fire Station! Santa
will arrive by helicopter at 8:00 AM to join all those in attendance. In addition, this year’s event will feature the FDNY Rescue 4 which responded to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.  Rescue 4 now travels around the country as a memorial to those who were lost in the attack.

Bass Pro Shops is hosting fun daily events for kids, at their Santa’s Wonderland.
The festive events include FREE games and activities, FREE crafts and a FREE
photo with Santa. Activities vary by day (with most happening on the weekends).     

While you are there: Bring a new toy to donate to Toys for the Kids drive.
Toys will be collected in the grand entrance of each store and then distributed
to local children’s charities to help bring a little Christmas to children in need.
