Frugal Weekend Entertainment Options #1

Visit the 52 Foot Christmas Tree and Say Hello to Santa at
Sundance Square in Downtown Fort Worth!
     

           

Stop by to see Santa at the beautiful 52′ Christmas Tree at
Sundance Square.
     

The jolly old elf will be waiting to hear Christmas wishes at his home near the
towering Sundance Square Christmas tree, adorned with thousands of lights,
colorful balls and sparkling snowflakes. Kids can get their picture taken
with Santa too!     

Free entertainment and live Christmas music will be performed
throughout the day and evening (see the entertainment
schedule here
).

When: Visit the tree any time between now and New Years.
    Santa visiting hours: Friday from 6-9PM,
    Saturday & Sunday from 11AM – 6PM, and
    Monday & Tuesday from 5-8PM
Where:  Sundance Square, On Main Street (between 3rd and 4th streets)
Cost:  FREE, Photos are $7, with the proceeds to benefit the
   Fort Worth Sister Cities’ Youth Scholarships

Enjoy a Fun Day at the Historic Log Cabin Village
At the “HOLIDAYS AT THE HEARTH” event.
Saturday, December 19, 2009
     


      

Celebrate the holidays Texas Pioneer Village style!
See how cabins were decorated in pioneer days, string some popcorn,
help make pomander balls and tamales, play games, and reflect on
storied traditions as you take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle.

When: Saturday, December 19, 2009 ~ 1-4PM
Where: Historic Log Cabin Village in Fort Worth

Cost: Cost is regular $4.50 admission (plus a $2 craft fee to make a card).

Frugal Weekend Entertainment Option #3      

Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops
Now through December 24      

                            

Bass Pro Shops is hosting fun daily events for kids, at their Santa’s Wonderland.
The festive events include FREE games and activities, FREE crafts and a FREE
photo with Santa. Activities vary by day (with most happening on the weekends).     

While you are there: Bring a new toy to donate to Toys for the Kids drive.
Toys will be collected in the grand entrance of each store and then distributed
to local children’s charities to help bring a little Christmas to children in need.
