SAVE THE DATE: April 26-28 ~ Sharon Young & Ladies Designer Brand Warehouse Clothing Sale

Bookmark and Share

Need to update or add a few new pieces to your wardrobe?
Be sure to mark the next Sharon Young and Ladies Designer Brand Warehouse sale (April 26-28) on your calendar. The sale will feature 1000s of items from their spring clothing collection at big discounts. This is their biggest sale of the year and it’s definitely worth the drive to Dallas!

Personally, I am a big fan of this sale.  I have saved a bundle off retail prices (50 to 75% OFF) and brought home some gorgeous outfits at below wholesale ~ much of my wardrobe has come from this sale’s clothes racks. Prices start at $20 and the most expensive items (dresses and jackets) are $60!

We will be popping over to Dallas to capture some sneak preview pictures of the goodies, so stay tuned for a future post and more info in the coming days. Until then, you can take a peek at the company websites to get a glimpse of some of the clothing brands you will find:

Details, details
When: April 26-28, 2012 ~ Thursday & Friday, 8:00AM to 8:00PM
and Saturday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Where: 10367 Brockwood Rd ~ Dallas.  You’ll see signs directing you where to go (or just follow all the ladies you will see!)
Do note: There is a large dressing room provided for trying on all your finds, but typical of women’s fashion warehouse sales, it is ladies only and not private. Since this is a women only event, husbands, guy-friends and kiddos under 12, please stay comfortable at home.

Enjoy and Share! :)

SniqueAway Texas Vacation Bargain: Lake Conroe Family Resort (La Torretta) ~ Hurry!

Bookmark and Share

If you have followed this blog for any length of time, you know that we are BIG, big fans of TripAdvisor’s travel bargain site SniqueAway (read our review here).  Backed by the credibility of TripAdvisor.com, SniqueAway offers limited-time sales and deep discounts on some fantastic 4 & 5-Star rated hotels around the world, with savings typically from 40-60% OFF.

Worth mentioning ~ this week we were glad to see a fantastic SniqueAway deal on a family friendly lake resort, right here in Texas ~ La Torretta Resort on Lake Conroe (Montgomery, TX)!

Through SniqueAway’s sale, hotel rates at La Torretta start at $139 a night (normally $199 or more) and there are dates available now through early July.  The reservation through SniqueAway includes access to the resort’s 3.5-acre Aqua Park with 5 pools, a lazy river, a private beach on Lake Conroe, tennis courts, fitness center and more (go here for the full list of amenities).  They also have a golf course and spa available for an extra fee.

To Get The Deal:

Go here to sign-in or become a member for FREE then navigate to the La Torretta deal on SniqueAway.  Tip:  Be sure to look for a diamond shaped icon on the dates when you peruse the available options on the calendar ~ the diamond icon means those dates feature the lowest sale price.

Right now, almost all dates through July 4th are available for La Torretta at this special SniqueAway rate.  If you intend to take advantage of this, you won’t want to wait too long as it’s only available on SniqueAway for a week and popular dates tend to sell out fast (offers are on a first come, first serve basis).

Learn more about SniqueAway, here or go here for a longer review of our experience with SniqueAway (and why we like it so much!).

Our hearts and prayers go out to all those who were affected by this week’s DFW tornadoes.  We are so thankful that there was no loss of life ~ what a miracle! If you are wondering how you might be able to help in the relief efforts, here is a great idea…

DALLAS-FORT WORTH (April 5, 2012) – Kroger joins forces with local media outlets to host collection drives and raise money for tornado relief efforts in North Texas.

Kroger has teamed up with and KLTY-FM and Clear Channel Radio (KDMX-FM 102.9; KHKS-FM 106.1; KDGE-FM 102.1; KZPS-FM 92.5; and KEGL-FM 97.1)  to execute collection drives (list of Kroger locations below) for displaced families and relief workers. Most-needed items include non-perishable food; toiletries; infant clothing; cleaning supplies; tools; shovels; brooms; plastic tubes; work gloves; rubber boots; ice chests and bottled water. All collected items will benefit storm relief efforts in Arlington, Lancaster and Forney.
