Part of North Richland Hill’s “Sounds of Spring” outdoor concert series, this free family event also includes a kid zone with games and crafts for the kids, as well as food you can buy from a variety of gourmet food trucks. Seating for the concert is on the lawn, so don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets.

The Museum will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. Guests can take advantage of an architecture tour at 11 am, a permanent collection tour at 2 pm, or visit with “Ask Me” docents stationed throughout the galleries between noon and 2 pm.

Frugal shopping tip: This is a great spot to tap into local experts’ knowledge about gardening with herbs, as well as find a vast selection of native plants & herbs at great prices. My favorite finds have been local artisan made soap created from all natural ingredients ($1 to $2 a bar) and clean burning soy candles scented with essential oils.
