50% OFF AMC Movie Theater Tickets!

Bookmark and Share

Here’s something fun to “put in the back pocket” for a fun outing with the family ~ 50% OFF Movie Tickets!  Unlike most daily deals, there is no limit to how many tickets you can buy and these AMC movie tickets do not expire (LOVE THAT!!).

50% OFF Movie Tickets at AMC Theaters!

We have not been to the movies in a while so it was fun to discover a GREAT “flash” deal for 50% OFF AMC Theatres Movie Tickets that do not expire!  Our favorite AMC Theatre is the one in downtown Fort Worth, but there are 10 locations sprinkled throughout DFW.

When you purchase today’s Buy With Me AMC Movie Ticket Deal for $24, you will get 4 movie tickets (retail $52) that do not expire and are usable at almost any AMC theater in the U.S. ($3 shipping added to order)!  There isn’t a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase, but there is a limited quantity available through Buy With Me , so you may not want to wait.

How to Get the Offer:

  1. Go here to sign up for today’s 50% OFF AMC Movie Ticket deal.
  2. Select Fort Worth as Your City.
Look for the national offer in the bottom of the page.
  3. Buy your tickets today.
The tickets do not expire and you have until the end of the week to make your purchase.  Since there is a limited quantity of these tickets available at this special deal, I would recommend not waiting too long to make your purchase.

Things to Note: These tickets come to your home address within 10-14 days after the Buy With Me Promotion ends.  They do not expire. Once you receive your tickets in the mail, they can be redeemed for admission at any AMC theatre location in the U.S. (AMC, AMC Showplace, Loews, Cineplex Odeon, Magic Johnson, and Star theatres).  They are not valid for online or kiosk purchasing, reserved seating, or for special engagements.  Tickets are valid only for movies that are two weeks out from their original release date.  Be sure to read the other terms as well on the Buy With Me promotion page.

50 Fest: Amon Carter Museum’s 50th Anniversary Family Fun Event, Saturday, August 13

Bookmark and Share

Art. Bands. Food. Fun. Find it all at 50 Fest, a FREE celebration of 50 years at the Amon Carter Museum.

In honor of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art’s 5oth Anniversary, the entire community is invited to a fun-filled, free celebration called 50 Fest this Saturday, August 13 from 5:30–9PM at the museum. Outside on the plaza, guests will be treated to food, drinks and the toe-tapping music of two Austin-based bands. All ages are encouraged to join in and become a part of museum history.

“For an institution like the Amon Carter that has been a vibrant part of Fort Worth culture for five decades, throwing a party for the whole town seems a fitting tribute during our 50th year,” says Andrew Walker, director. “We invite all our neighbors to come and see our remarkable collection of American art, while enjoying a fun summer’s evening on the museum’s front porch.”

The Marshall Ford Swing Band kicks off 50 Fest with its upbeat western swing, guitar stylings and vocals. They will be followed by award-winning Del Castillo, a six-man band combining eclectic Latin rock, flamenco and blues with both Spanish and English vocals.

Picnic fare including hot dogs, chips and dessert from Curly’s Frozen Custard will be offered to guests. There will be hula hoops and bubbles for outdoor fun, along with photo booths where guests can pose for a souvenir of the celebration. No anniversary party is complete without cake; visitors will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite Amon Carter–themed confection designed by local pastry chefs.

The extended gallery hours for 50 Fest (until 9PM) will allow guests plenty of time to visit all their favorite Amon Carter artworks. Special art-exploration guides have been created for adults and children to use while inside the galleries, and docents will be stationed throughout the museum to enrich the experience.

To help visitors stay cool at the event, they’ll have shaded areas, misters, bottled water and ice cream outdoors plus you can really cool off when you step inside the galleries that are kept at 70 degrees. All ages welcome. No reservations required. Please leave your alcohol, coolers, and pets at home.

See you there!

About the “Community Spotlight” column

If you have been a reader of Frugal in Fort Worth for any length of time, you know that I *love* our city and the amazing variety of activities it offers. Few major cities are privileged to have such an abundance of major cultural institutions & world-class art museums, a rich heritage, AND a vibrant community life!

In the spirit of giving a “hug” back to our community for all it does, we started a new “Community Spotlight” column to honor some of the great non-profit organizations who serve Fort Worth. We will sprinkle this column into our blog occasionally so you can get to know some of the great folks who help make our city the place that it is today.

Enjoy and be sure to leave a comment (here) to let these organizations know how much you appreciate them!

FUN! 60% OFF Studio Movie Grill Tickets with Today’s Groupon ~ Will Probably Sell Out Fast!

Bookmark and Share

Today’s Studio Movie Grill Dallas Groupon deal is one you won’t want to wait to buy if you are interested. It sold out FAST when it ran in June and it’s even cheaper this time around!

50% OFF At Studio Movie Grill!

Groupon has launched a savings offer of 60% OFF Studio Movie Grill Tickets  ~ 4 locations to choose from in DFW (including Arlington). When you buy today’s Groupon for $5, you will get a gift certificate for a movie ticket and a soda valid until September 29, 2011

There doesn’t seem to be a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase, so this is a great offer if you want to bring the whole family or go multiple times.

How to get the Offer:

  1. Go here to sign up for today’s 60% OFF deal.
  2. Select Dallas as Your Groupon City.
  3. Buy your Groupon before the end of the day.
You do have until September 29 to use your Groupon.  Since
there is a limited quantity of these certificates available, I would
recommend not waiting too long to make your purchase.

New to Groupon? You are in for a treat!

A few months ago, Groupon launched its Fort Worth site (AND we did the happy dance at Frugal in Fort Worth!). If you are not familiar with Groupon, definitely take a moment to check them out.

Groupon offers a daily deal on local goods, services and cultural events across the country. I’ve seen their local offers include everything from 50% Off Cowboys Stadium Tour, 50% Off Nordstrom Rack to 75% Off window cleaning ~ and seemingly everything in between! I’ve even bought Groupon deals in other cities as a way to save on restaurant dining and entertainment when we travel.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each day Groupon features a great deal at an unbeatable price.

2. You have to sign up for the offer that day, and only get the deal if the minimum number of people join that day (so pass this along to your friends)!

3. Check back the next day to discover the next Groupon offer (or sign up for their emails to have them delivered to your inbox)!

Enjoy and Share! :)
