:: Fort Worth’s 2011 Fall Gallery Night

Ft. Worth’s annual Fall Gallery Night is a FREE, “Open House” event across almost 50 locations in Fort Worth and Arlington. Participating venues include all types, from the legendary Fort Worth museums in the cultural district to the chic art gallery showrooms of the south side ~ all in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Even the Fort Worth Botanic Garden joins the celebration of our community’s cultural richness and visual arts with their Art in the Garden event.
Many locations will host live music and light h’ors d’oeuvres, and you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with many of the featured artists.

:: FREE Concert Series at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington
Friday to Sunday, September 9-11, 2011
Join your family and friends at this weekends FREE concerts at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington – part of Levitt Pavilion’s 50 nights of free music, dance and performing arts under the stars. The entertainment schedule includes a wide span of music genres including jazz, country and contemporary Christian music.
The Friday evening concert (Sept. 9) features Brad Thompson & Lannie Flowers – a celebration of songwriting from two local lyricists. Saturday’s concert (Sept. 10) brings to the stage country recording artist Jamie Richards. Contemporary Christian recording artists, Luminate (Sept. 11) bring a crisp and modern rock sound as they round out the concert weekend of music.

Preservation is the Art of the City is a 2-week public art show and sale featuring jury-selected artists. This non-profit gallery promotes and supports local studio artists as well as historic preservation in Fort Worth.
