Worth Checking Out: 50% OFF The Classic Cafe in Roanoke

Bookmark and Share

So Glad to See this 50% OFF Classic Cafe Offer Come Around again!

On a personal note: We so enjoyed using our Groupon for Classic Cafe the first time they ran this offer several months ago, that we are purchasing the Groupon again. The food was melt-in-your-mouth incredible and service great ~  we are ready to go back again!  There is a nice range of choices on the menu, but for those “meat & potato” folks, their beef is all grain-fed and raised for them ~ in fact, the lady at the table next to us at lunch said they made the best hamburger she has ever had.  It was huge!

Groupon has launched a savings offer of 50% OFF Lunch or Dinner at The  Classic Cafe in Roanoke. When you buy today’s Groupon for $10, you will get a gift certificate for $20 towards lunch or for $30 you will get $60 towards dinner at The Classic Cafe ~ valid until November 17, 2011.

How to get the Offer:

  1. Go here to sign up for today’s 50% OFF deal.
  2. Select Fort Worth as Your Groupon City and choose whether you want the Lunch or Dinner deal (or you can purchase both if you wish).
  3. Buy your Groupon before the end of the day.
You do have until November 17 to use your Groupon. Since
there is a limited quantity of these certificates available, I would
recommend not waiting too long to make your purchase.

Enjoy and Share! :)

Heading to Dallas for the Mavericks Championship Victory Parade on Thursday? Read These Tips.

Bookmark and Share

250,000 people are expected to descend on Dallas on Thursday to pay tribute to the Dallas Mavericks after their NBA championship win over the Miami Heat.

If you are one of the dedicated Mavs fans who are willing to fight the crowds and cheer on the home team at the championship parade, check out this round-up of helpful information:

  • Parade Start time: Crowds are expected to start gathering several hours before the official start time of 10AM (Thursday, June 16) ~ if you want a good viewing spot along the parade route, you’ll want to get there early.  The parade is expected to last an hour and will end in a pep rally at Victory Plaza (only 10,000 will be allowed into the plaza). Visit dallascityhall.com for more event details.
  • Parade Route:  Streets close at 8AM on Thursday along the parade path and fans can line up behind the barricades beginning at 7AM. Festivities begin at the Dallas Convention Center (at Young and Griffin streets downtown), head west on Young Street to  Union Station, goes North on Houston Street (past Dealey Plaza), and then to Continental and Victory avenues to end at American Airlines Center.  Check out this handy Google Map which shows the route as well as the public transportation train stops along the way.
  • Getting there by train:  Police are urging parade-goers to use public transportation to get to the parade.  The Trinity Railway Express is easy to catch from Fort Worth and has two stations along the parade route ~ Victory Station (drops off close to the American Airlines  Center) and Union Station, near the parade route start.  Do leave yourself some extra time to get to your stop, as the trains are expected to be crowded tomorrow. Go here to get more info on the Trinity Railway Express.
  • Driving & Parking: Driving into downtown will likely take a great deal of patience, but there is expected to be plenty of parking available once you arrive.  Dallas Mayor, Dwaine Caraway says, “We cannot stress enough how important it is for people to come downtown early….we encourage you to take the public transportation, but we also encourage all of you that are coming to carpool.”  Go here to see a map of downtown Dallas public parking.
  • Cost: FREE (Thank you Mark Cuban for footing the bill!)
