With concerns about bullying and cyber-bullying on the rise nationally, learn ways to help protect your children at the “Freedom from Fear” panel discussion, scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at Summerglen Branch Library, 4205 Basswood Blvd.

Four local experts will give their assessment of the current bullying problem, and explain the new threat of cyber-bullying. The panelists also will discuss the roles of school officials and law enforcement personnel, and offer tips on what you can do as a parent to help protect your child. Panelists are:

A few weeks ago, I mentioned the upcoming Sharon Young Winter Designer Clothes Sale that starts this week (go here to read) and runs February 10th-12th. I had the opportunity to make a preview visit and tour the sale and can tell you that once again, it is well worth the drive to Dallas (and yes, I went home with some beautiful bargains of my own!!).

or American Eagle flight now and travel before March 9th. 

Why are they doing this? American Airlines is in a battle with several
online travel services.  Some are not allowed to sell American’s tickets
and others, out of protest are refusing to sell them.  Regardless of the
reason, I love it when, in the end, the customer wins and gets to save.  :)
