Enjoy a fun evening with your family and friends at First Friday on the Green, a FREE monthly live music series rolled out by Fort Worth South. Bring your blankets and chairs (and even Fido if you want), and enjoy an evening of live music from a great band in a relaxing setting.

The Keller Public Arts Program will be hosting an outdoor patio event featuring the Southlake Swing Band on Saturday, April 2. The 40’s era Big Band sound will fill the Spring evening air for the enjoyment of all ages and is FREE for all.

(similar to a Home Depot associate apron) and an achievement pin. All
workshops are free, but you should probably show up early to insure
you have a kit for your little ones.

Want to Expand Your Garden for Almost FREE? Join the Plant Trading Fun at Calloway’s on Saturday!

Trade snippings, seedlings and rootings with fellow gardeners at Calloway’s Annual Plant Swap this Saturday, April 2nd! It’s a  fun way to add some new selections to your garden and will help you save money on your spring plantings!

                                          

The dirt on how to Get FREE Plants: This Saturday, April 2nd, Calloway’s Nursery is hosting a perennial plant swap at two DFW stores: Hurst/Grapevine and Plano. This is a great way to expand your garden with shared plants, seedlings, and bulbs, as well as trade tips with other local gardeners. I love sharing my survivors plants with others and am really looking forward to this event!

The spring Perennial Swap is the fourth event of this typed hosted by Calloway’s locations and is FREE to the public. Additionally, there will be free bottled water for participants.

Calloway’s directions for how the swap works:

Step 1: Post what you have and what you want at the links below. If you have extra bulbs, roots or divided perennials list them to share. If you’re looking for something specific, post it at these links:

Step 2: Browse the Perennial Swap blog and create your shopping list. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, post a note to inquire if someone has what you want. Invite your friends, neighbors and family members to join in the fun. The more gardeners who come the more plants to trade!

Step 3: Come to the Perennial Swap and meet up to exchange and trade. Agree to meet at the swap and exchange plants. Arrive at the swap, get a free bottle of water and start shopping. Visit and trade plants.

Step 4: Take your new plants home, plant them up, enjoy them and SAVE money!

In the archives of the Fort Worth Central Library are more than 10,000 items pertaining to the history of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. This sprawling exhibit allows the public to get a rare look at some of these materials. Items on display include historic photos, posters and maps, video footage, rare books and other historic materials.

Bank of America continues its national program, Museums On Us and offers FREE admission, the first full weekend of every month, to over 150 participating museums throughout the U.S.

This FREE Admission program takes place this weekend (March 5-6) in Fort Worth at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

The classic story of Wizard of Oz is brought to life onstage at Artisan Theater. Spunky Dorothy finds herself over the rainbow and in plenty of trouble as she tries to find her way back home to Kansas. As Munchkins, children in the audience are invited to oil the Tin Man, stuff the Scarecrow and hide Dorothy and her dog, Toto, from the Wicked Witch of the West!

The Cowtown Marathon, Fort Worth’s most well-known running event, takes place this weekend and includes a marathon, half marathon, ultra marathon, 10K, adult 5K and a kids’ 5K. You can watch and cheer on the runners at the starting line, located at Will Rogers Memorial Center (or for the more ambitious, you can still register in person).
