We’ve heard from several of you (love it!!!) about the savings you made on your refrigerator water filters through this recent offer. In case you missed it or forgot, we are re-posting this as a reminder that this deal ends this Friday…

Here’s a great deal if that pesky time-to-change-your-water-filter light is blinking on your refrigerator (or about to be):

Once again, we are overdue for replacing the water filters on our refrigerator, so it was nice to discover that through January 31st, Amazon is giving an extra 20% OFF refrigerator filter replacements for select Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Kenmore, and Maytag refrigerators. That savings is on top of the current discounted price you’ll see from Amazon, bringing some of the filters to 45% OFF the retail price you would normally pay.

For my purchase, that meant I received from Amazon, 2 Water Filters for more than 35% off the price of the same filters we used to purchase from Sears. Depending on your filter model, you might save up to 45% off the retail price.

Oh I love a parade! Over 100,000 people will line the streets of downtown Fort Worth to watch the “All Western Parade” and to celebrate the opening of the 2014 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. This traditional event is held each year and boasts being the largest western themed parade, as well as the longest 100% non-motorized (no cars) parade in the world. The parade will feature over 4,000 participants including covered wagons, horses, more than 1,000 head of livestock, and of course lots of cowboys!

Where: The parade starts in front of the Tarrant County Courthouse (Downtown at Weatherford and Main Streets), turns right on Main towards the Convention Center, and loops back to the Courthouse on Houston St. Click here to view the new 2014 parade route.

Plan ahead and you can get 50% OFF Rodeo tickets or even get Stock Show grounds admission for FREE. This 23 day event (January 17 – February 8) includes the rodeo (extra ticket needed), premier livestock shows, musical entertainment, petting zoo, family friendly exhibits, and lots more. There are lots of special activities to enjoy and the schedule of events is fresh each day.

Here’s the inside scoop on how to save on your tickets…

1. Buy 1 Get One FREE Rodeo Ticket Coupons ~ Download a Buy One Get One FREE Rodeo Admission coupon here. This voucher is valid for up to 4 tickets (Buy 1, get 1 FREE ~ or ~ Buy 2 get 2 FREE) and availability is limited for promotion tickets, dates and times listed. You will need to follow the instructions on the coupon to redeem your coupon and receive your free BOGO tickets. Buying Tip: Be sure to call before using this coupon, to make sure your desired rodeo performance date is available.

2. Fort Worth Star Telegram Press Pass Savings ~ Present your valid FW Star-Telegram Press Pass when purchasing general grounds admission or rodeo tickets to get the following savings (Limit 4 discounts per Press Pass ~ learn more details here):

FREE Stock Show Grounds Admission For Museum Members ~ If you’re a member of The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, the Cattle Raisers Museum or the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, you can get into the Stock Show Grounds for FREE any day. $1 Wednesdays at Fort Worth Bike Sharing

Try out the Fort Worth Bike Sharing program for a buck! Each Wednesday in January, Fort Worth B-Cycle 24-hour memberships will only cost $1 (regularly $8).

To participate, go to any of the bike stations to purchase the membership and check out your bike for $1. When you are done, drop it off at any of the stations. Do note that usage fees will still apply after 30 minutes.

There are over 30 bike station locations in Fort Worth (14 stations in Downtown Fort Worth, 7 in the Cultural District, 9 around the Magnolia/S. Main area, and 3 in the TCU area) ~ find available stations on these maps.
