Something to Smile About: Today is National Donut Day ~ FREE Donuts for Everyone! :)

Today is National Donut Day!  In honor of this momentous day, Krispy
Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts are giving away a FREE donut of preference to
every customer!   

Things to know before you go: Krispy Kreme locations limit one
donut per customer, but no purchase is necessary. Dunkin Donuts does 
require a drink purchase to get the free donut.  

Fun Fact:  National Donut day was established by the Salvation Army
in 1938.

Mostly Useless Information for the Curious:  As I made this post, I
    wondered if “National Pancake day” is just another one of those invented
    “Hallmark” holidays created to sell more things.  I found it interesting to
    discover that this celebration actually dates back  several centuries and
    started in England!  Who knew?  Read more at wikipedia, if you want to
    know more about the history of Pancake Day (a.k.a. Shrove Day).
