FREE MasterWorks Outdoor Concert Series in Keller

Enjoy a mid-week break with live music, family, and friends in Keller! MasterWorks Concert Series (Arts Council Northeast) and Keller Parks & Recreation will be hosting a FREE monthly outdoor Music on the Patio event featuring a variety of artists and music genres.

The live music event will take place on the back patio of Keller Town Hall on the 4th Wednesday of the month and includes evening performances by:

March 25 ~ BluPrint – Variety
April 22 ~ Taikodelic – Japanese Taiko Drummers
May 27 ~ Nate Kipp – Country
June 24 ~ David Carr & Band – Jazz
July 22 ~ Time Warp – Variety

With the severe weather season right around the corner, the National Weather Service is preparing North Texans by hosting a free SkyWarn storm workshop. This workshop will discuss spotting and reporting storms, identifying cloud features, learning safety rules, and planning for a severe weather day. You can even become a certified SkyWarn spotter if you’d like!

The class will be divided into two parts — a basic overview of storm spotting will be presented in the morning session, and in the afternoon session, the class will consist of more advanced topics like radar interpretation and severe storms.

Oh I love a parade! Over 100,000 people will line the streets of downtown Fort Worth to watch the “All Western Parade” and to celebrate the opening of the 2015 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. This traditional event is held each year and boasts being the largest western themed parade, as well as the longest 100% non-motorized (no cars) parade in the world. The parade will feature over 4,000 participants including covered wagons, horses, more than 1,000 head of livestock, and of course lots of cowboys!

Try out the Fort Worth Bike Sharing program this month and save! Each Tuesday through Thursday through the end of January, Fort Worth B-Cycle is discounting its 24-hour memberships up to 85% OFF (regularly $8 a day).

Here’s the scoop:

To take part, go to any of Fort Worth’s B-Cycle stations to check out your bike using the proper promo code. When you are done riding, drop it off at any of the stations.
