:: FREE Red White & Sousa Patriotic Concert in Colleyville

The songs of America will come to life, 100-voices strong when the city of Colleyville presents Red, White & Sousa. The free patriotic concert, performed by internationally acclaimed a cappella men’s chorus The Vocal Majority, will also feature the opening of Colleyville’s first gourmet food park at the Village at Colleyville.  Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.

  Friday, June 29, 2012. The free patriotic concert begins at 8:00PM; the gourmet food park, the first in Colleyville, opens at 6:30PM.
Where:  The Village at Colleyville located on Main Street and Colleyville Blvd. Free parking is available in the Village and at City Park (located off Bransford Road, west of City Hall).

:: FREE Grapevine Lake Fireworks Show & Summer Blast
Family Event at the Gaylord Texan

Friday, June 29, 2012 (and Every Friday through Labor Day)

Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular fireworks each Friday through the summer, now through Labor day. If you want to add some extra fun to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform.  They will have a music DJ, games for kids, giveaways, and food and beverages for purchase.

Every Friday through Labor Day
8:00-10:00PM ~ Family friendly games and activities
9:30PM ~ Fireworks over Lake Grapevine (weather permitting)

Spend Friday evening at Southlake Town Square enjoying the Texas Creative Arts Academy production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream ~ presented FREE to the community in the Southlake Town Square gazebo. Bring your own blanket and lawn chairs for a fun and relaxing evening with your family.

:: FREE Dale Watson Concert at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington
Saturday June 30, 2012

Join your family and friends at this weekend’s FREE concert at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington – part of their packed summer series of free music, dance and performing arts under the stars. The Saturday evening concert headlines a country music favorite, Dale Watson. Known for hardscrabble honky-tonk that has won him an international following, Dale Watson’s recording career spans two decades and earned him a spot in the Austin Music Hall of Fame. Be sure to bring along a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy your evening. Snacks or a picnic dinner, and beverages are allowed, but no glass containers, please.

Fort Worth’s herd cowboys will present a fun and educational demonstration about the tools, equipment and techniques used during the cattle drive era of the late 1800s at Fort Worth Cow Camp. Children and adults will have the opportunity for hands on, interactive experiences including roping sorting, saddling, cattle drive demonstrations, and more.
