:: FREE Concert Series at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington
   June 1-3, 2012

Join your family and friends at this weekend’s FREE concerts at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington – part of their packed summer series of free music, dance and performing arts under the stars. The entertainment schedule includes a wide span of music genres including jazz, pop, latin, country and even special events just for kids. The Friday evening concert (June 1) headlines Beau Soleil (Grammy-winning contemporary Cajun artistry), Saturday (June 2) features The Tejas Brothers (Honky-tonk with a dash of spicy Tex-Mex), and Sunday features blues artist, Guitar Shorty.

Be sure to bring along a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the outdoor entertainment! Snacks or a picnic dinner, and beverages are allowed, but no glass containers, please.

Bring a blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy Cars on the big screen, under the stars at Johnson Road Park Amphitheater in Keller. The movie will begin at 9:00PM (or as soon as the sun goes down). Get there by 8:00PM to find a good spot and enjoy a variety of family games and activities.

:: FREE Grapevine Lake Fireworks Show & Summer Blast
Family Event at the Gaylord Texan

Friday, June 1, 2012 (and Every Friday through Labor Day)

Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular fireworks each Friday through the summer, now through Labor day. If you want to add some extra fun to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform, and they will have a music DJ, games for kids, giveaways, and food and beverages for purchase.

Fort Worth’s herd cowboys will present a fun and educational demonstration about the tools, equipment and techniques used during the cattle drive era of the late 1800′s at Fort Worth Cow Camp. Children and adults will have the opportunity for hands on, interactive experiences including roping sorting, saddling, cattle drive demonstrations, and more.

Bank of America’s 2012 national program, Museums On Us offers FREE admission, the first full weekend of every month, to 120 participating museums throughout the U.S. This FREE Admission program takes place this weekend (June 2 & 3) in Fort Worth at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

This Saturday, bring your child to Home Depot’s Kids Workshop to help them learn a new woodworking skill and build their very own organizer to take home. Each Kids Workshop participant will receive a kid-sized orange apron (similar to a Home Depot associate apron) and an achievement pin. All workshops are free, but you should probably show up early to insure you have a kit for your little ones.
