:: Family Fun ~ It’s State Fair of Texas Time!
September 24 to October 17, 2010

This weekend kicks off the month-long State Fair of Texas entertainment
and fried foods extravaganza in Dallas. Be sure to check out our post

a long list of ways to get FREE ADMISSION and deep discounts on
admission tickets
to the fair plus other helpful tips.

The Texas State Fair runs now through October 18 and covers just about
every area of interest.  From the Nigerian Dwarf Goats Club Show (who
knew there was such a club?) to Celebrity Chef cooking shows, to the
always fascinating Birds of the World Show, there is something for

Day in the District.
8 museum and cultural district destinations offer FREE admission AND FREE family friendly performances, activities, and other
special events all day. Participating destinations include:

  3. Fort Worth Botanic Garden
  4. Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
  5. National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame
  6. Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

The City of Keller is hosting a fun family friendly celebration of the Old West
this Saturday.  There will be plenty of entertainment for all ages including a 5K/10K Run, the popular Children’s Stick Horse Rodeo, an old west fort,
live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities, main stage
entertainment, food, and much more.

If you have not made it to “Preservation is the Art of the City,” be sure to take
some time to visit this FREE Public Art Show and Sale (this is the last weekend).
Proceeds from this non-profit gallery promote historic preservation in Fort
Worth as well as support local studio artists.

they need to throw a doll-sized party. For ages 8 and up.

This craft event is FREE, but you should probably show up early to
insure you have craft supplies for your little ones.
