Groups of families and friends show up with blankets, chairs and pets to enjoy a lineup of three great local bands and food from local businesses or food trucks.

The Junior League of Fort Worth hosts its 3rd annual FREE Pancake Picnic, benefiting both Cook Children’s patients and community members on Saturday. This year’s theme is based on Eric Carle’s Book, “Pancakes, Pancakes!” and will include fun themed games for all ages.

Join the Sid Richardson Museum in Sundance Square for this FREE exhibition that traces the path of Lonesome Dove from Larry McMurtry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel to the original screenplay and filming of the legendary TV miniseries. The exhibition is part of a 6-month citywide celebration, known as ”The Lonesome Dove Trail,” which will include multiple Fort Worth venues including screenings, seminars and a reunion gala of the cast and crew including Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones and more.
