Events include rodeo (extra ticket required), free musical entertainment, petting zoo, family friendly exhibits, premier livestock shows, and more ~ the schedule of events is fresh each day.  If you haven’t been yet, these are the final days for 2016!

Where:  3400 Burnett-Tandy Dr.  A special Park & Ride shuttle will be available Saturdays and Sundays during the Stock Show.  It will take you directly from Billy Bob’s North Lot to the front gate, pick you up, and return you to your vehicle parking lot for only $5 per car.  To find out more, click here.

At this family event you’ll meet others interested in geocaching ~ the real-world, outdoor treasure hunting activity! You’ll learn how to use various devices to search and locate “geocaches” (hidden containers) using a GPS receiver or your smart phone.  The class will also offer lots of great geocaching tips like a list of locations of the area’s best caches to get you started on your adventure.

Join the Sid Richardson Museum in Sundance Square for this FREE exhibition that traces the path of Lonesome Dove from Larry McMurtry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel to the original screenplay and filming of the legendary TV miniseries. The exhibition is part of a 6-month citywide celebration, known as ”The Lonesome Dove Trail,” which will include multiple Fort Worth venues including screenings, seminars and a reunion gala of the cast and crew including Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones and more.

Quanah Parker Exhibit - ONE MAN, TWO WORLDS

This photo exhibit tells the story of two people caught between two different worlds — Cynthia Ann and Quanah Parker, two important names in U.S. frontier history. In 1836, a Comanche raiding party took Cynthia Ann from their family, and over the following years, she became wife to the Comanche chief and  mother to Quanah. After Cynthia Ann was taken back by Texas Rangers, Quanah became one of the most important Comanche leaders both in war and peace.

Fort Worth Central library

Join the Fort Worth Central Library for a retrospective showcase of works from award-winning Fort Worth local artist, Travers Green (1928-2008). His “tight-loose” painting style, along with a unique scratch and splatter technique combine to create country-themed paintings to give the viewer a sense of place and turn the ordinary into something extraordinary. These watercolor paintings have been reacquired by his son from various sources to compile a collection never before seen together.

There will also be free professional photos for the kids and giveaways as well! Special Crappie fishing seminars will take place on Friday, Feb. 5 at 7PM and Saturday Feb. 6 at 11AM and 2PM.  The first 50 to attend these seminars will receive a FREE Bass Pro Shops Logo Tote.
