Do note: There is a large dressing room provided for trying on all your finds, but typical of women’s fashion warehouse sales, it is ladies only and not private. Since this is a women only event, husbands, guy-friends and kiddos under 12, please stay comfortable at home.

This Saturday, bring your child to Home Depot’s Kids Workshop to help them learn a new woodworking skill and build their very own Fire Truck (in honor of Fire Safety Month) to take home. Workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment.  All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin.  All workshops are free, but you should probably show up early to insure you have a kit for your little ones.

Join Williams-Sonoma’s weekly Junior Chef Class where they will show kids how fun and easy cooking can be.  They’ll learn to make delicious recipes, from main courses to desserts and snacks, with plenty of tasting along the way.  At this week’s class, they’re celebrating Chuck Williams’s 100th birthday and cooking some of his favorite recipes — a butter lettuce salad with vinaigrette, a juicy roast chicken, plus chocolate mousse for dessert.  Suitable for ages 8–13.Note: You’ll want to call to reserve your spot since class size is limited.

This is a fun experience for kids, and you will love to see the joy that first fish brings to the face of your child! The Modern Art Museum ~ Fort Worth Kids Drawing Program

FREE Drawing From the Collection classes for kids:  Two sessions of this free program are offered, one for ages 5 to 8 and one for ages 9 to 12. Each session is led by an artist who takes participants through informal drawing exercises in relation to works in the Modern’s galleries. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult during the program. Bring a sketchbook and pencils. Attendance is limited, so early arrival is encouraged. A sign-up sheet is located at the information desk. 2-3:30 pm

FREE Drawing From the Collection class for adults:  Learn with local artists as they lead informal basic drawing classes in the galleries. This free class is open to adults at all skill levels—just bring a sketchbook and pencils. Registration is not required, but participants should sign in at the information desk. 2:00-3:30PM
