Here is a fun and FREE event to add to your family’s summer activity calendar: The Amon Carter Museum will be hosting Storytime, a free public program for young children and their families on Wednesdays in June and July.
Here’s the inside scoop…
Go wild during Amon Carter’s Storytime — all about animals! This free program connects beloved children’s books with a variety of artworks on view in the Amon Carter’s galleries. And to make Storytime even more fun-filled, some of the dates will feature live animals from the zoo on June 17 (small mammals), July 1 (reptiles), and July 22 (birds)!
The dates and weekly themes are:
- June 10 — Awesome Amphibians
- June 17 — Marvelous Mammals
- June 24 — Sensational Sea Creatures
- July 1 — Radical Reptiles
- July 8 — Incredible Insects
- July 15 — Fabulous Fish
- July 22 — Brilliant Birds
- July 29 — Wonderful Water Beasts
Each program also includes art making and a snack, and is best for families with children ages eight and under and their adult companions.
