Family Event at the Gaylord Texan

Friday, July 27, 2012 (and Every Friday through Labor Day)

Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular fireworks each Friday through the summer, now through Labor Day. If you want to add some extra fun to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform.  They will have a music DJ, games for kids, giveaways, and food and beverages for purchase.

Every Friday through Labor Day
8:00-10:00PM ~ Family friendly games and activities
9:30PM ~ Fireworks over Lake Grapevine (weather permitting)
Where: Gaylord Texan Resort ~ Level 5 of the Resort Garage. Click here for directions to the Gaylord Texan Resort. Fireworks can also be viewed from any Grapevine Lake park at 9:00PM. Find a map of fireworks viewing sites around Grapevine Lake here.
Cost: FREE for both local and hotel guests to attend.  There is a fee to park at the hotel for those who are not guests.

Mosey on down to the 5th Annual National Day of the American Cowboy celebration. This Fort Worth Stockyards event (FREE) has been named the “Best Event of its kind in the nation” by western lifestyle magazine, American Cowboy. Don’t miss out on a day dedicated to celebrating the cowboy with lots of fun for the whole family!

Spend Saturday evening at Southlake Town Square’s Rustin Pavilion enjoying a fun show featuring favorite local band, The Killdares.  Originally formed in 1996, The Killdares have come to be known as one of the hottest, cutting edge bands in music today – Celtic or otherwise. World-class musicians from all over the U.S., they have come together in Texas to create and perform a brand new version of hard-driving, alternative Celtic rock music. Bring your own blanket and lawn chairs for a fun evening with your family.

Hear classic western music come to life as Cowtown Opry members perform a free music exhibition on the steps of the Livestock Exchange building. This live family friendly music event will take place every Sunday and will feature a different theme each week ~ Western Gospel music will be featured on the 5th Sunday of the month.
