We rarely post magazine deals, but we found Amazon’s long list of
magazine subscriptions are so deeply discounted with some of the
best prices we’ve seen in a while ~ definitely worth passing along.

LAST DAY REMINDER: $5 Magazine Subscriptions ~ Southern Living, Popular Mechanics, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Smart Money, & Many More

I rarely post magazine deals, but Amazon has a long list of magazine subscriptions on sale for $5 (many end today!) that is too good of a bargain not to mention. I’ve never seen this many magazines selling at such rock-bottom prices (even the 2 year subscriptions are incredibly cheap!). If you already subscribe, you can use the offer to extend your subscription (just make sure you use the same name and address).

GREAT DEAL: Southern Living Subscription $5 (Expires Saturday!)

One of my favorite magazines, Southern Living, is having a one week only subscriber special through Amazon.com. SL normally offers their 1-year subscription for $20-$30, but it is being offered for $5, THIS WEEK ONLY (expires 8/29).

I have been a reader and subscriber to the magazine for many years and find it one of the most enjoyable and useful magazines…from the regional travel/restaurants, southern gardening, and home living tips, to their great seasonal recipes (tested and rated by their food staff /test kitchens, only their top rated recipes get into the magazine).

I’m not much of one to add to the mail-box-generated-paper-piles, but this is too good of an offer not to pass along.

Frugal Tip (for my friends that like to cook):

Instead of stocking up on cookbooks in your kitchen (or saving all those cutout recipes from the magazines), consider using Southern Living’s free website.  They have archived all the recipes from their monthly mags, along with recipes from Cooking Light, Health, and other magazines owned by the publishing house.

This is a great site to visit when you just don’t know what to cook, are looking for a seasonal recipe, or just want to try something new with a particular ingredient you have on hand.  Click here to search by recipe name or click here to search by ingredient.
