Sharon Young Inc. is giving away a FREE JACKET TO 1 Frugal In Fort Worth (happy) reader! The winner gets to select their favorite jacket design, (retail value up to $180) from the Sharon Young Fall Collection Warehouse Sale (Learn more about this “don’t miss” sale here). And, to top things off, the winner and 5 of their friends will be invited to attend a private sale preview event!

        

I’ve included a few representative pictures, but I’m just scratching the surface of the hundreds of jackets available. 

Prize Details for Giveaway 

  •  One (1) Jacket, retail value up to $180. The winner will get to choose ANY jacket from the literally hundreds of gorgeous choices available at the Sharon Young Fall Warehouse Sale. 
  • Six (6) Invitations to a private preview of the sale. As a winner, you and 5 of YOUR friends will also get a FREE invitation to a private preview sale (Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010), giving you a chance to pick out your jacket and get ahead of the crowds before clothes are flying off the racks.  The public sale starts the next day ( more details here).  Of course if you win, you can pick out your jacket, then too.

Giveaway Details
The winner will  receive one (1) jacket to be selected by the winner and six (6) invitations to a sale preview to be conducted on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.  The jacket has a retail value of up to $180 (actual final value depends on jacket selected by the winner and cannot be exchanged for cash).  Winner must select and pick up the jacket from the Sharon Young Fall 2010 Warehouse Sale event in Dallas, TX. 

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, November 15, 2010. Odds of winning depend on number of entries. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only, 18 years old or over.  The winner will be chosen using Random.org to select the winning comment. The winner will be notified by email and will need to respond within 2 days so that we can send details about how to claim the prize.  The prize will need to be picked up at the Sharon Young Warehouse Sale Private Preview event (Wednesday, November  17, 2010 4:00PM – 8:00PM) or the Public Sale Event (Thursday to Saturday, November 18-20 ~ click here for details). Do note that no children under 12 or men are allowed into the sale area.

Love to Garden? Join the Fun at Calloway’s FREE Perennial Plant Swap This Saturday, April 3.

Want to add some new plants to your garden for almost FREE?
This Saturday, April 3, Calloway’s Nursery is hosting a perennial plant swap in Fort Worth and Plano.  This is a great way to expand your garden with shared plants, seedlings, and bulbs, as well as trade tips with other local gardeners. I love sharing my survivors plants with others and am really looking forward to this event!  

The spring Perennial Swap is the third event of this typed hosted by Calloway’s locations and is free to the public. Additionally, there will be free bottled water and hourly drawings between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for garden gift cards. A Master Gardener or plant expert will be on site at each location to answer gardening questions and offer gardening advice, too! 

Calloway’s directions for how the swap works: 

Step 1: Post what you have and what you want at the links below.  If you have extra bulbs, roots or divided perennials list them to share. If you’re looking for something specific, post it at these links:

Step 2: Browse the Perennial Swap blog and create your shopping list.  If you don’t find what you’re looking for, post a note to inquire if someone has what you want. Invite your friends, neighbors and family members to join in the fun. The more gardeners who come the more plants to trade! 

Step 3: Come to the Perennial Swap and meet up to exchange and trade.  Agree to meet at the swap and exchange plants. Arrive at the swap, get a free bottle of water and start shopping.  Visit and trade plants. 

Step 4: Take your new plants home, plant them up, enjoy them and SAVE money!

What:  If the store has them, you get to choose between four yummy types:
