West 7th Holiday Carriage Rides free

Enjoy a FREE horse-drawn carriage ride and the sights and sounds of the Starlight Symphony music and light show at the opening event at West 7TH. The Starlight Symphony music and light show will light up the streets with a five-minute music and Christmas light spectacular held on the hour through January 6 ( 6-10PM). Plus enjoy the following opening night events on Friday, November 20 (only):

  • Santa’s arrival and the lighting of West 7th, along with Victorian carolers and character entertainment.
  • A sledding hill with real snow! FREE for all ages; includes inflatable tube plus a snow-filled play area for kids – 5 to 8 PM
  • Cook Children’s Teddy Bear Drive – Bring a new teddy bear of any shape, size or color to share with pediatric patients of Cook Children’s Medical Center.
  • 2nd Annual Starlight Run Party at 7 PM, hosted by the Social Running Club and benefiting Streams and Valleys Inc. Click here for registration and information.

Lighting Event, Plus Pictures with Santa

It’s time for the annual Sundance Square Christmas Tree Lighting! Come join the fun in Sundance Square Plaza to celebrate the start of the holiday season with the lighting of the beautiful 59′-foot tall Christmas tree. Sing-a-long to holiday carols and enjoy a hot chocolate before a visit with Saint Nick, himself. After the lighting, kids can get their picture taken with Santa too!

You’ll find plenty of telescopes for viewing and even more astronomy buffs to help you navigate your way through the skies. Star Parties are held once a month and in the Museum’s South Parking Lot.

From paintings and photos to sculptures and collectibles, the Fort Worth Library offers a number of quality exhibits throughout the year. The Library strives to present some of the best works of local artists, photographers and collectors, celebrating both the talent and diversity of our community. Still Life: Wildlife and Everything in Between features a variety of mixed media works including paintings, photographs and sculptures. All the artists are local to DFW, but originally come from across the nation and the world.
