Open-format sessions join art-making and gallery activities to encourage fresh ways of looking at and responding to featured artworks and themes. Teens and adults can sign up at the entrance to the education studios in the Renzo Piano Pavilion beginning one hour before the program. Do note that you may want to arrive early to sign up as space is very limited.

:: Visit Santa at Sundance Square ~ Downtown Fort Worth

Visit Santa at Sundance Square Plaza. The jolly old elf will be waiting to hear Christmas wishes at his home near the towering 58-foot Sundance Square Christmas tree, beautifully adorned with thousands of lights. Fort Worth Sister Cities International invites you to take your photo with Santa and is offering guests a photo with Santa for a $10 donation (cash only please) which will go towards youth programs. You are also welcome to bring your personal camera to take photos if you prefer.

Step back in time this season at Christmas on Main! With the beautiful backdrop of the dressed up Victorian-style buildings, the annual event held on Main Street in Historic Downtown Grapevine, features Santa, jolly Christmas characters, hay rides, and much more!

Where: Events center around the 300 block of Main Street in Grapevine. Tractor-drawn wagon rides will depart behind the Gazebo during select hours.
Cost: FREE. Wagon rides cost $1/person, per ride, and proceeds benefit the historic preservation of Nash Farm.

The Arlington Christkindl (Kris-kin-dill) Market is an enchanting family market in the tradition of those held throughout Germany during the Holiday season. It is a charming festival with twinkling lights and the holiday sounds and aromas of Christmas. The event celebrates the German Christmas heritage with authentic German cuisine, beverages, entertainment, arts, crafts and holiday gifts.

The adventures of Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf began long before The Lord of the Rings. Join them and their company of dwarves on a quest to the Lonely Mountain as the Fort Worth Central Library screens extended versions of the first two movies in The Hobbit trilogy. Films will be shown on the large screen of the library’s movie theater, and there will be a 45 minute break for lunch between the two movies. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks into the theater.
