Fort Worth Library Vaquero Exhibit

Fort Worth’s Central Library presents the exhibition, Vaquero: Genesis of the Texas Cowboy, now through October 20, 2014. The collection of more than 100 photos and artifacts explores the centuries‐old vaquero (cowboy) tradition of northern Mexico.

Exhibit highlights: Photographs from the Bill Wittliff Collection, the original model of Vaquero de Fort Worth statue (commemorates the vaqueros’ contribution to Fort Worth history), and artifacts including tools, clothing, hand‐tooled saddles, and more.
