Fort Worth’s Central Library presents the exhibition, Vaquero: Genesis of the Texas Cowboy, now through October 20, 2014. The collection of more than 100 photos and artifacts explores the centuries‐old vaquero (cowboy) tradition of northern Mexico.
Exhibit highlights: Photographs from the Bill Wittliff Collection, the original model of Vaquero de Fort Worth statue (commemorates the vaqueros’ contribution to Fort Worth history), and artifacts including tools, clothing, hand‐tooled saddles, and more.

Where: The downtown Fort Worth Central Library gallery, 500 W. 3rd St. You can park on the street or in the 3rd St. & Taylor Parking Garage. The parking garage and parking meters are FREE on weekends.
