In the Market for Fresh Produce? Here’s your Source…Links to TDA CERTIFIED Farmers Markets

Farmers Market

FOR TEXAS READERS (or for “inquiring minds who want to know”):
I just learned that the Texas Department of Agriculture certifies Farmers’ Markets all over Texas! Who knew?

I also discovered a couple of helpful links that make it simple to find these markets and the freshest locally grown produce.

FOR READERS ACROSS THE U.S.:

Note:  Some markets are seasonal and certain products are subject to availability. Always check before traveling.

Frugal & Fun Fridays in Fort Worth – A Perfect Day to Visit the Botanic Gardens (plus it is FREE!)

Each Friday, I will post ideas for free (or almost free) weekend entertainment for you and your family.

Botanic Gardens

Because of the beautiful weather in store this weekend, I have to promote one of my favorite (and free) outdoor Fort Worth venues…the FW Botanic Gardens.

If you have never been, you have a treat in store!  There are many gardens to visit (you can choose one or two or spend the day visiting them all).  There is even an interactive section that is great for kids called The Texas Native Forest Boardwalk. We just visited the gardens a few weeks ago, and everything was beautiful as always!

For a preview of all the gardens, click here.

For directions to the gardens and other details, click here.

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather while we have it!  :)
