FREE Tickets For Military Families to 2,000+ Museums — Memorial Day through Labor Day

Memorial Day kicks off the sixth year of Blue Star Museums, the military appreciation program that connects military families with the cultural resources in their communities. Active duty military and their families can get FREE admission to over 2,000 museums, zoos, and other cultural destinations located around the country, thanks to the Blue Star Museums initiative. The program runs from May 25 through Labor Day, September 7.

The 2015 list of participating museums in the Fort Worth and Dallas area metroplex includes:

National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum
North Fort Worth Historical Society/Stockyards Museum
Sid Richardson Art Museum

Dallas Museum of Art
Dallas Heritage Village
Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance

:: Go here to find a list of all participating museums across the U.S. Do note that some of the participating museums (like Fort Worth’s Amon Carter Museum) provide free entrance to their permanent exhibits all year, regardless of military affiliation.

P.S.  To get the free admission, you will need to show your military ID.  The free offer is valid for the military ID holder plus up to five family members.  Spouses of deployed military are eligible to take part as well.  Go here for helpful information.
