Labor Day weekend ends the fifth year of Blue Star Museums, the military appreciation program that connects military families with the cultural resources in their communities. Active duty military and their families can get FREE admission to over 2,000 museums located around the country, thanks to the Blue Star Museums initiative.

Do note that some of the participating museums (like the Amon Carter and the Kimbell) provide free entrance to their permanent exhibits all year, regardless of military affiliation.
P.S. To get the free admission, you will need to show your military ID. The free offer is valid for the military ID holder plus up to five family members. Spouses of deployed military are eligible to take part as well. Go here for helpful information.
