FREE Museum Tickets For Active Duty Military Families

Blue Star Museums FREE for Military

Now through Labor Day (September 2nd), active duty military and their families can get FREE admission to over 2,000 museums located around the country, thanks to the Blue Star Museums initiative.

The list of participating museums in the Fort Worth and Dallas area includes:

Amon Carter Museum of American Art
Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum
Veterans Memorial Air Park

Dallas Heritage Village
Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance
Nasher Sculpture Center
Frontiers of Flight Museum
Meadows Museum

Irving
National Scouting Museum

Mansfield Historical Museum and Heritage Center

Collin County Farm Museum

The National Vietnam War Museum

Go here to find a list of all 2,000+ participating museums across the U.S. ~ free through September 2, 2013.  Do note that some of the participating museums (like the Amon Carter and the Kimbell), provide free entrance to their permanent exhibits all year, regardless of military affiliation.

P.S.  To get the free admission, you will need to show your military ID.  The free offer is valid for the military ID holder plus up to five family members.  Spouses of deployed military are eligible to take part as well (go here for helpful information).
