During the August 7-9 tax holiday, Texas residents receive tax-free shopping benefits on the following categories:

• Clothing (most items under $100 qualify)
• Shoes (under $100)
• Backpacks and messenger/book bags for elementary
  and secondary students (under $100 )
• School supplies under $100 such as binders, crayons,
