Be sure to mark the 2013 back-to-school Texas tax-free weekend on your calendar to save on clothes, school supplies, and more. The tax exemption weekend will take place August 9-11, 2013. Note: this is a week earlier than normal this year.
Texas residents can receive tax-free shopping benefits August 9-11, 2013 on the following categories:
- Clothing (under $100)
- Shoes (under $100)
- Backpacks and messenger/book bags for elementary
and secondary students (under $100 ) - School supplies under $100 such as binders, crayons,
paper, and more (see complete list of qualifying school
supplies here)
