:: FREE Concert Series at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington
Featuring Ambrosia and the Quebe Sisters Band
   Friday and Saturday, May 27 & 28, 2011

Join your family and friends to celebrate the kick off of 50 days of FREE concerts at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington.  Friday night, they will be launching their 50 nights of free music, dance and performing arts – under the stars! The performance schedule includes a wide span of music genres including jazz, pop, latin, country and even special events just for kids.  This weekends concert launch includes:

 Friday, May 27 – Ambrosia  – 70s Era Pop Music Band
 Saturday, May 28 – The Quebe Sisters Band  – Western swing, vintage country, bluegrass, and jazz.

Be sure to bring along a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the outdoor entertainment! Snacks or a picnic dinner, and beverages are allowed, but no glass containers, please.

:: FREE Grapevine Lake Fireworks Show & Summer Blast
Family Event at the Gaylord Texan

    Friday, May 27, 2011 (and Every Friday through Labor Day)

Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular  firework shows each Friday through the summer, now through Labor day. If you want to  add some extra fun to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform, and they will have a DJ, games for kids, and food and beverages for purchase.

 Every Friday through Labor Day
8:00-10:00PM ~ Family friendly games and activities
9:00PM ~ Fireworks over Lake Grapevine

:: FREE ~ Spend Memorial Day Weekend at the Ft. Worth Stockyards

Enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend with your family, cowboy style at Fort Worth’s
stockyards! A fun day of activities is in store including:

  • Live Music 2:00– 5:00PM
  • Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive 11:30AM and 4:00PM
  • Gunfight Shows 11:45AM and 4:15PM
  • Horsemanship Training Class 9:00AM–6:00PM
  • Fort Worth Herd Cow Camp 1:30–2:30PM

Children and adults will have the opportunity for hands on, interactive
experiences including roping, sorting, saddling, cattle drive demonstrations
and more.

Parade in Historic Granbury
Saturday to Monday, May 28 to 30 , 2011

Botanic Gardens

Extend a well-deserved “thank you” to America’s veterans by joining the city of Granbury for their Memorial Day Veteran’s Celebration. This 3-day event will include a variety of foods from local restaurants, a cook-off, arts and crafts for purchase, games and an old-fashioned Memorial Day parade around Granbury Square.
