ENDS TODAY — Target Stores Provide FREE Credit Monitoring and Identity Theft Protection

Bookmark and Share

Just a reminder that this offer for free credit monitoring from Target ends today (April 23).  We strongly recommend you take advantage of this if you haven’t done so already.

Target Free Credit Monitoring and Identity Theft Protection

As you have likely heard by now, there was a breach in personal data and credit/debit card information that occurred at Target stores from Thanksgiving to mid-December, potentially impacting 40 million customers.

In response to the breach, Target has offered to provide 1-year of FREE credit monitoring plus a FREE credit report, daily credit monitoring, identity theft insurance where available, and access to personalized assistance.

Target suggests that guests who sign up for free credit monitoring should continue to monitor their accounts and report any unusual or suspicious activity to their bank.

:: Go to the Target.com website to request an activation code for the FREE Credit Monitoring service and to find out more about the Target data breach.

Guests have until April 23, 2014 to sign up for their FREE year of credit monitoring. Even if you don’t think your information was compromised, you may want to sign up to be on the safe side.
